Corrupt activities of employees in the electricity and gas supply sectors in Namangan and Surkhandarya regions were exposed during rapid measures. They promised to formalize documents and "cover" debts for money.
During measures carried out by employees of the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, two engineers from the Kosonsoy district electrical networks enterprise in Namangan region were caught red-handed while receiving 17 million soums for formalizing technical specification documents for a 50 kW solar panel installed on a building belonging to an entrepreneur's LLC.
In Surkhandarya region, an employee of the "Uzuntumangaz" department was apprehended while receiving 5 million soums through a third party for promising to eliminate a 23 million soum debt incurred by a citizen due to a faulty gas meter and for not formalizing a report. During the investigation, it was found that another one of his colleagues was also involved in this case.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated for both incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out.
