Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a constructive telephone conversation with his Afghan counterpart, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi. Saidov announced this on his social media page.
"During the conversation, we exchanged views on the current situation on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and emphasized the importance of maintaining restraint and not allowing the situation to escalate further," wrote Saidov.
He also wrote that dialogue is a key tool for ensuring stability and eliminating existing threats.
