"Uzhydromet" announced an urgent warning about the risk of avalanches in the mountainous areas of the republic in connection with the expected precipitation and changes in air temperature from January 21 to 26, 2026.
According to the information, the danger may be observed in the following areas:
— In the Dehkanabad, Kitob, Kamashi, and Shahrisabz districts of the Kashkadarya region;
— In the Boysun, Kumkurgan, Sariosiyo, and Uzun districts of the Surkhandarya region;
— In the Nurobod, Kushrabot, Samarkand, and Urgut districts of the Samarkand region;
— In the Bakhmal and Zomin districts of the Jizzakh region;
— In the Bostanlik, Parkent, and Ohangaron districts of the Tashkent region (Chatkal mountain range); — In the Pop district of the Namangan region.
"Uzhydromet" called on citizens living in mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers moving in these areas to take precautionary measures.
