The second stable direction is the transition of the economy to a technological and innovative growth model.
"In current conditions, where global competition is intensifying, only states that produce high value-added products are securing their place in the world market.
Therefore, achieving high efficiency in all sectors of the economy must be the main benchmark of our future reforms,"
– said our President.
For example, through the development of high-tech and low-energy-consuming industries, it was achieved this year to reduce the amount of fuel and energy spent per dollar of product by 13 percent.
For this reason, it was emphasized that the most correct way to increase the gross domestic product volume to over 240 billion dollars by 2030 is to transition all sectors to a technological and innovative growth model.
This has been defined as the main direction of the economic development strategy for the coming years.
The favorable business environment in our country, demographic growth, and the attention paid to human capital are turning Uzbekistan into one of the most attractive countries for investors.
This year alone, new investment agreements worth 140 billion dollars have been reached with foreign partners. Next year, it is planned to attract 50 billion dollars in foreign investment.
Henceforth, it was emphasized that every dollar of investment must, first and foremost, serve to transfer advanced technologies, produce high value-added goods with a clear external market, increase efficiency in the use of energy, water, land, and other natural resources, train local workers in new technologies, and increase labor productivity.
"That is, an investor who brings high technology and new competencies and works for export will become our most reliable partner,"
– said the head of our state.
Such strategic investors will be granted land for projects at market value directly. If the land category changes, they will be allowed to pay the redemption fee in installments over up to 10 years.
Investors will not have to go from office to office to formalize land, change its category, or obtain permits for construction and infrastructure connection. An electronic platform operating on the "single window" principle will be launched to provide them with comprehensive services, and all ministries will be connected to it.
