A photo spread on social networks showing livestock being electrocuted and killed due to contact with fallen, dilapidated power poles in Jizzakh. The "Regional Electric Networks" JSC Jizzakh regional branch officially commented on the situation.

The situation became public, and some network activists also expressed their personal opinions on it.
I was terrified to see this, because there are so many such old power poles in villages where people live. The worst part is that in those places, it's not livestock but people and children who live, — writes Laziz Hamidov, head of the "Tasnif" agency.
He also concluded his post as follows.
"The price of electricity was raised to replace outdated infrastructure with new, people agreed to it, they are paying. Accordingly, I think they should be provided with new transformers and new power poles more quickly".
The official comment stated that a malfunction in the power grid occurred due to prolonged rain and strong winds in the area. This emergency situation was promptly eliminated by the staff of the district electricity supply department, and the power supply in the area has now been fully restored.
Regarding the issue of compensating for the material damage related to the loss of 3 head of livestock reported by the citizen, we inform you that in accordance with current legislation, matters of assessing the actual damage incurred and its recovery are resolved by the competent judicial authorities.
In this regard, the applicant was given appropriate legal explanations regarding all legal procedures and their right to have the dispute considered in court.
