ESPN journalist Mark Ogden gave a high rating to Abdulkodir Khusanov's growth at Manchester City. He wrote on the X (Twitter) network that although the match against Real Madrid in the Champions League round of 16 was tough for the team, Khusanov stood out on the field.

According to the journalist, the Uzbek footballer seemed lacking in confidence when he first joined the team, but over time he achieved noticeable growth.

In the match, Khusanov played the full 90 minutes and received a yellow card at the end of the first half. According to the "SofaScore" rating, he collected 7.2 points, and this indicator was one of the best among Manchester City defenders.

For comparison, the team's other defenders were rated much lower: Nunes — 6.3, Dias — 6.5, Ait Nouri — 6.5, Ake — 6.5, and Gvardiol — 6.6 points.

It is noted that Khusanov's first game in the Champions League was also against Real Madrid. Back then, the "Citizens" also lost 0:3 and were eliminated from the competition.

This time, based on the results of two matches, Manchester City lost 1:5 to Real Madrid and said goodbye to the tournament.
