Uzbek citizen Khairullo Ibadullaev, working as a cleaner in St. Petersburg, caught a child falling from the seventh floor and saved his life.

The incident occurred on February 22. A seven-year-old child climbed onto a window sill and fell down. A man who was in the yard at the time ran and caught the child, cushioning the impact with his own body. As a result, both the child and the man who rescued him were hospitalized.

Following this event, Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree to award Khairullo Ibadullaev the "Jasorat" (Courage) medal. It was also announced that he would receive a monetary reward of one million rubles from Russia.

The hero said that he does not consider himself a hero, and that for him the most important thing is that the child survived.
