The meeting paid special attention to measures to strengthen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the areas of trade, transport, energy, and high technologies, as well as to bring mutual trade to 10 billion dollars in the coming years.
The parties noted the activation of interregional ties, with the trade turnover reaching 5 billion dollars last year. New projects were considered in the fields of automotive industry, logistics, construction materials, electrical engineering, chemistry, and geology. Issues of developing transport corridors, modernizing border infrastructure, and promoting "green" energy initiatives were also included in the agenda.
Furthermore, the leaders agreed to accelerate major regional projects, such as the construction of the Kambarata hydroelectric power station, rational use of water resources, and expand cooperation in the fields of innovation, space technologies, digitalization, and tourism. At the end of the negotiations, the governments were tasked with developing a "roadmap" for the implementation of the agreements reached.
