The delegation of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan conducted a scientific and creative trip to the “House of Islamic Antiquities” and the “Tariq Rajab Museum” in Kuwait. The Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan's press service reported this.
During the meeting held at the “House of Islamic Antiquities,” discussions were held with the museum's exhibition coordinator, Dr. Hadil Khalil Rashad. The topics agreed upon during a visit in March of the current year were discussed. This included showcasing unique ruby stones from the Baburid period as part of the “Uzbekistan's Cultural Heritage - Heritage of All Humanity” international global exhibition organized on the eve of the opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization in 2025.
It was emphasized that special showcases meeting global museum standards are being prepared for the exhibition's exhibits. Prestigious companies from Italy, Goppion, and Germany, Glasbau Hahn, are participating in this process.
The meeting also discussed the procedures for transporting, packaging, and temporary storage of artifacts being acquired, and the conditions being created for foreign exhibits at the Center's building. At the conclusion of the negotiations, the Kuwaiti side announced that it would take full responsibility for bringing the unique ruby stones to Uzbekistan.
In the afternoon, the center's delegation met with Ziyad Rajab, director of the "Tariq Rajab Museum", and his sister Nur Rajab. The preparations for the opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization, and the creation of a book-album about artifacts related to the history of Uzbekistan preserved in the museum were discussed. Ziyad Rajab announced that the exhibits for the international exhibition have been selected and will be officially presented in the coming days.
As a result of the trip to Kuwait, 2 museums and 1 private collection in the country will actively participate in the global international exhibition organized on the eve of the opening of the Center for Islamic Civilization. It was agreed that Kuwait would coordinate all insurance, packaging, and transportation of the exhibits going to Uzbekistan.
