In the city of Osnabrück, Germany, an unexploded bomb from World War II was found. Consequently, nearly 20,000 people were evacuated in the central district of Lökfirtel.
As part of the security measures, several schools, hospitals, and the city's main train station were evacuated. Trains have temporarily ceased operation.
This is the fourth bomb found in Lökfirtel since the beginning of the year, the area was a freight train depot during the war years. Currently, extensive construction work is being carried out in the area, and similar unexploded bombs have been identified before.
The area is experiencing intense heat — temperatures have exceeded 30 degrees. Drinking water is being distributed to citizens at evacuation centers organized by the city administration.
