The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be in the country on a state visit from July 2nd to 4th, following an invitation from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by the President's press service.
According to the visit program, the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council and other high-level events will take place in Baku on July 2-3.
Issues of further strengthening the relations of friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as well as expanding cooperation and exchanges in priority areas of collaboration, will be discussed.
The President of Uzbekistan will participate in the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in the city of Khankendi on July 4th and will hold a series of bilateral meetings.
