The meeting examined issues of strengthening the special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, as well as expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation. It was noted that the volume of mutual trade has increased by 12 percent since the beginning of this year. Nearly a thousand joint ventures are operating in our country, and the volume of investments made by Korean investors has exceeded 8 billion dollars. The establishment of a special industrial zone for Korean companies is being developed.
The Korea Eximbank's project portfolio has exceeded 2 billion dollars. The construction of a multidisciplinary clinic, a chemical center, and a pharmaceutical park is ongoing. Additionally, the Hyundai Rotem train service on the Tashkent – Khiva route has been launched.
The parties paid special attention to issues of digitalizing public financial management, forming new investment projects, and preparing for the "Central Asia – Korea" summit, planned to be held in Seoul in the autumn.
