Pakistani police have arrested and deported underprivileged Afghan migrants, particularly in the Sindh province and the city of Karachi, according to Khamma Press

It is reported that Pakistani authorities have shown leniency towards wealthy and influential Afghan migrants in Karachi, targeting only poor Afghans for deportation.

"Since the start of April this year, at least 300 Afghan migrants have been arrested and expelled from across Sindh on a daily basis. Over the last three weeks, 80,000 Afghan migrants have been deported," the report said.

For reference, 16,000 Afghan migrants reside in Sindh province, particularly in Karachi. Several Afghan migrants in Karachi have contacted the media, claiming that their family members—primarily low-income workers who lack sufficient means to meet basic needs—have been detained.

They also reported that the police have refrained from arresting wealthy, business-owning Afghans and have instead focused on poor individuals to meet deportation quotas.
