It is reported that US President Donald Trump said in his statement: "One of the worst people in history, Khamenei, has died."
According to information, Khamenei's residence in Tehran was targeted during joint strikes carried out by the US and Israel. It is said that his daughter, son-in-law, grandchild, and one of his daughters-in-law were also killed as a result of the attack.
Fars News Agency, citing a source close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, confirmed that several people from among those associated with Khamenei's office were killed.
The Iranian government declared 40 days of national mourning and 7 days of official leave across the country in connection with the death of the Supreme Leader.
