It has been reported that due to increased precipitation from May 8 to 12 of this year, mudflows and floods may occur in the foothill and mountainous areas of the republic.
According to the warning, high risk is expected in the following areas:
Kashkadarya region: Yakkabag, Dehkanabad, Chirakchi, Kitab, Shakhrisabz, Kamashi, Guzor districts.
Surkhandarya region: Sariosiyo, Uzun, Altinsoy, Denov, Boysun, Sherabad, Shurchi, Kumkurgan, Muzrabot districts.
Samarkand region: Urgut, Samarkand, Bulungur, Nurabad, Kushrabot, Kattakurgan, Payarik, Jomboy, Ishtikhon districts.
Navoi region: Khatirchi, Navbahor, Nurata, Konimekh, Karmana districts.
Jizzakh region: Zaamin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol, Sharof Rashidov, Farish, Yangiabad districts.
Tashkent region: Akhangaran, Bostanlyk, Parkent, Piskent, Urta Chirchik, Yukori Chirchik districts, as well as the cities of Angren and Almalyk.
Namangan region: Pop, Kasansay, Chartak, Chust, Namangan, Yangikurgan districts.
Fergana region: Sokh, Shakhimardan, Fergana, Besharik districts.
Andijan region: Andijan, Asaka, Jalalkuduk, Kurgan-Tepa, Pakhtaabad, Izboskan, Khojaabad, Markhamat districts, as well as the city of Khanabad.
Authorities urged citizens living in foothill and mountainous areas, vacationers, and drivers moving through these areas to take precautionary measures.
It was also noted that water accumulation may be observed in some areas as a result of heavy rains, and there is a possibility of flooding in these areas.
