President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on improving the system of military personnel training and digitizing the army.

The presentation noted that in recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotic systems, electronic warfare tools, and modern management technologies have been widely used in armed conflicts around the world. In this regard, along with modernizing the army, special attention is being paid to the issue of training a new generation of military specialists.

According to reports, the President gave instructions on digitizing the army and introducing artificial intelligence. Additionally, a unified vertical management system has been created, and the Military Security and Defense University of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established.

Now, the military education process is being reshaped based on modern combat operations and the needs of the troops. The new curricula prioritize the harmony of theory and practice, providing for training of cadets in conditions close to their service environment.

At the same time, in-depth study of foreign languages, information technology, and artificial intelligence is planned for military personnel studying at the bachelor's level.

For command and staff officers, a new three-stage training system based on advanced foreign experience will be introduced.

The presentation also discussed the issue of expanding the system for training sergeants. In particular, it was stated that distance learning in six civilian specialties will be established for sergeants at higher military educational institutions.

Furthermore, the system for training specialists in the field of aviation and drones will be improved, and a unified certification procedure for servicemen of the Armed Forces will be introduced.

The presentation also focused separately on issues of digitizing the army and cybersecurity.

It was noted that in recent years, the communication infrastructure in the Ministry of Defense system has been modernized, protected data exchange channels have been developed, and about 50 information systems have been developed.

In particular, the "Call-up" electronic system has been integrated with 19 ministries and agencies, making it possible to carry out conscription processes entirely in electronic form.

In the field of military medicine, a unified medical information system and telemedicine have been introduced.

At the same time, it was reported that an Information Security Monitoring Center has been established to detect and prevent cyber threats.

At the end of the presentation, the President signed a number of documents aimed at digitizing the army, introducing artificial intelligence technologies, and strengthening cybersecurity.

It is also planned to establish a Main Directorate of Digital Technologies, a Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, and a Cybersecurity Laboratory in the central apparatus of the Ministry of Defense.

The President set tasks for officials to fully digitize the defense sector, create national artificial intelligence models, and further improve the system for training qualified military personnel.
