In Bukhara region, two women were found to have blackmailed a man through romantic correspondence, demanding money. Law enforcement officers prevented an extortion case in the Vobkent district of Bukhara region, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the information, a 35-year-old woman’s correspondence with a man was seen by her 19-year-old friend, who began threatening to expose it. Initially, the woman gave her friend money to keep quiet, but later entered into a criminal conspiracy with her.
The woman threatened the man with destroying his family and demanded 6.8 million sum. During an operational measure, the suspect was caught receiving $100 and 5.6 million sum.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 165, Part 2, Clause “v” of the Criminal Code regarding this incident, and investigative actions are being conducted.
