During rapid operations conducted in the Tomdi, Konimekh, and Khatirchi districts of Navoi region, cases of illegal gold extraction by citizens were uncovered. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

In particular, in the Tomdi district, individuals were apprehended while extracting 5.2 tons of ore stones containing 315.1 grams of gold substance, with a total estimated value of 569.8 million soums, from the territory of the "Bessopan" industrial site. In the Konimekh and Khatirchi districts, it was found that citizens had been engaged in separating gold from sand and stones.

Criminal cases have been initiated for all incidents, and investigative actions are ongoing.
