So far, approximately 2,500 cubic meters of contaminated soil have been removed.
It is reported that the beaches are becoming covered with a black substance, and the oil slick is moving northward along the sea. Resort areas such as Agoi, Nebug, Olginka, and Novomikhailovskoye remain under threat.
According to experts, the volume of oil products released into the environment amounts to 300–350 tons. Satellite observations have recorded a slick stretching up to 7 kilometers.
Local residents are complaining of a strong chemical odor, and experts say that the concentration of harmful substances in the air has exceeded permissible levels.
