In the Andijan region, 3 hidden laboratories engaged in the preparation of counterfeit medicines posing a serious threat to public health have been identified.

It has been reported that during rapid operations conducted in collaboration between the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Border Troops, and Customs authorities, three citizens living in the city of Andijan and Asaka district were exposed for preparing counterfeit and non-guaranteed quality medicines in their homes.

During the investigation, it was established that there were specially equipped illegal laboratories at these addresses, and over 60,000 units of medicines of 122 types, with a total value of 1.1 billion soums, were seized as material evidence.

According to preliminary information, these products were illegally imported from Kyrgyzstan, with one part being semi-finished and another part being in a recycled state.

Experts emphasize that such medicines can pose a serious threat to human health. An investigation into the situation is currently underway.

Citizens are advised to report such instances to the State Security Service via the short number 1520. Personal confidentiality is guaranteed.
