A ceremonial reception for Emomali Rahmon took place at the airport.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially welcomed the high-ranking guest and invited him to the podium. During the ceremony, the flags of the two states were raised and an honor guard lined up.

The state anthems of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were performed by a military orchestra.

The leaders then passed in front of the honor guard and greeted the members of the official delegations.

After a joint photo session, the talks between the leaders of the two states began.
