According to the embassy's information, the accident involved a private vehicle. The competent law enforcement agencies of Punjab state are conducting investigative and operational measures to identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The diplomatic mission is in regular contact with the relatives of the deceased and is providing them with the necessary consular and legal assistance. It was also reported that the investigation process regarding the traffic accident is being monitored.
The embassy expressed deep condolences to the close ones and relatives of T.M. (female) and informed them that the necessary measures are being taken to repatriate the body of the deceased to Uzbekistan.
The diplomatic mission once again reminded that protecting the rights and interests of citizens abroad is a top priority and emphasized its readiness to promptly provide consular, legal, and other assistance to citizens who find themselves in difficult situations in India.
