A criminal group that sexually exploited Uzbek girls in Malaysia has been exposed. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It is noted that the Rapid Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an urgent operation to identify members of an organized criminal group that has been committing human trafficking crimes in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
A woman born in 1971 in the Republic of Tajikistan led this organized criminal group and, through her criminal accomplices living in Uzbekistan, posted an advertisement on Telegram under the headline "We are hiring new staff for a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur."
The group's members in Tashkent met with individuals who responded to them and were engaged in sending them to Kuala Lumpur with various false promises.
During the urgent operation, it was revealed that the woman, a Tajik citizen, sexually exploited the girls who came to work under her, and did not provide the young men who worked in various positions with the promised monthly salary of 500 US dollars, free accommodation, and 4 months of food as promised. She took their passports without formalizing work visas or paying wages, and forced them into compulsory labor.
To date, 8 victims of this criminal group have been identified, and a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 135 (human trafficking) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being carried out.
