On January 16 of this year, starting from 21:30, traffic was temporarily restricted in the "Takhtakaracha" pass area passing through the Urgut district of the Samarkand region, reports the Regional Road Traffic Safety Department.

According to the report, heavy snowfall was observed in the "Takhtakaracha" pass on the M-39 "Almaty-Bishkek-Tashkent-Shahrisabz" highway passing through the district territory, and the road surface partially froze due to a sharp drop in air temperature.

"Taking this into account, traffic on the 'Urgut-Kitob' direction of the 'Takhtakaracha' pass was temporarily restricted to prevent traffic accidents involving vehicles and ensure traffic safety in the pass area," the report states.

Drivers were asked to comply with the established restrictions when moving on this route, use alternative routes, and strictly observe road traffic safety rules.
