In this regard, new measures are being defined to incentivize the work of diplomats.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that in the context of geopolitical changes, instability in international relations, and global economic transformations in the world, it is necessary to constantly update foreign policy in accordance with national interests and the demands of the times.
According to the Head of State, as a result of the open, pragmatic, and balanced foreign policy pursued in recent years, Uzbekistan's position and influence in the international arena have been significantly strengthened.
At the same time, changes in the global security architecture and new economic alliances require an even more active and results-oriented approach from foreign policy.
In this regard, it was stated that it is necessary to update the concept of foreign policy activity, review its priority directions, and define clear tasks aimed at protecting national interests.
The new concept must comprehensively cover economic diplomacy, security, investment, export, transport-logistics, water, and climate issues in an interconnected manner.
To effectively organize foreign policy activities, it is planned to allocate an additional $100,000–200,000 annually to each embassy.
Furthermore, to duly recognize the work of diplomats, it was proposed to establish the honorary title of "Honored Diplomat of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
