In his New Year's address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope for peace with Russia. The head of state's address was published on his Telegram channel.
"We believe in peace, we fight for it, and we work for it. Happy New Year, dear Ukrainians!" — it says in the caption under a festive photo of Zelenskyy with his wife Olena.
According to the President's emphasis, the ending year 2025 was a vivid example of the resilience, dedication, and daily work of Ukrainian citizens. He also noted the importance of unity, human dignity, and preserving national values in the new year.
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his New Year's address, expressed confidence in victory in the war against Ukraine and congratulated the military on the holiday.
