According to the President's decree adopted on December 26, specific mechanisms for paying child benefits and material assistance to families entered in the Social Register have been established. The new procedure is aimed at further improving the system of supporting families in need of social protection.

According to the document, child benefits and material assistance will be paid automatically to families falling under the "state-provided family" category for the period they hold this status, regardless of the employment of their members. Their socio-economic status will be reassessed after 12 months.

For families in the "low-income family" category, child benefits are initially assigned for a period of 6 months, on the condition of ensuring official employment for their able-bodied members. If employment is ensured, payments continue uninterrupted; otherwise, they are suspended.

Families falling under the "family near the low-income threshold" category will receive child benefits for 6 months. As the family's per capita income approaches the minimum consumer spending, the benefit amount is reduced by 75 or 50 percent.
