As of 10:00 on March 5, a total of 9,361 people have been evacuated to Uzbekistan. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
According to it, 8,114 citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan have been repatriated from Saudi Arabia via regular and additional charter flights.
1,192 citizens have been brought to Uzbekistan from the United Arab Emirates. 23 citizens from Iran, 25 from Bahrain, and 7 from Oman have been safely delivered to the country.
Currently, evacuation is primarily being carried out from countries whose airspace remains open for civil aviation. It was stated that with the opening of airspace in other countries of the region, these measures will be promptly organized and continued.
"We call on our citizens to remain calm, not to panic, and to act responsibly. Furthermore, our compatriots currently abroad are asked to strictly adhere to the internal rules and requirements of the respective country and to follow only the official information disseminated by the state bodies and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan," the MFA statement said.
