On the night of October 20, a Boeing 747 cargo plane of Emirates airline veered off the runway at Hong Kong International Airport and plunged into the sea.

The plane veered off the runway and collided with a service vehicle that was nearby. Two men, aged 30 and 41, who were in the vehicle, were killed. The four crew members on board the plane were not injured.

The accident caused the closure of the North Runway and the cancellation of 12 cargo flights. Hong Kong authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, emphasizing that ensuring flight safety is a top priority.
