In the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan, a jackal entered a residential area and attacked two children and one adult. As a result of the incident, the victims sustained injuries of varying degrees.

According to reports, the predator first severely bit the leg and fingers of a 4-year-old girl, then attacked a 15-year-old teenager. A 42-year-old man who tried to help the children attempted to stop the jackal, but the animal managed to bite him as well.

All victims received medical assistance at the hospital and were vaccinated against rabies. Currently, their condition is assessed as stable, while the seriously injured girl remains under medical supervision.

Experts note that jackals usually do not attack humans. Such cases may primarily be related to the animal having rabies, protecting its young, or a lack of food. Currently, veterinarians are examining the attacking jackal to determine whether it shows signs of rabies.
