UFA First Vice-President Ravshan Ermatov has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of FIFA's Football Technologies, Innovations, and Digital Development Committee for 2025–2029. The committee works on testing and implementing innovative solutions in football.
For the first time in history, football specialists from Uzbekistan have been appointed to a FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) committee. The press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association reported this.
It is noted that by the decision of the organization's council, UFA First Vice-President Ravshan Ermatov has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of FIFA's Football Technologies, Innovations, and Digital Development Committee for 2025–2029.
The committee is considered one of the most important structures aimed at developing football through modern technologies.
It works on developing, testing, and implementing innovative solutions such as VAR, goal-line technology, semi-automated offside system, digital monitoring, and artificial intelligence in football.
Furthermore, UFA Secretary General Avaz Maksumov was appointed to the Beach Soccer Committee, and the Head of the UFA Women's Football Development Department, Yulia Panina, was appointed to the Committee for Competitions between Women's National Teams.
Ermatov had previously been the Deputy Chairman of the Asian Football Confederation Referees Committee for 2023–2027.
