The requirement to obtain an environmental certificate for cars and trucks imported into Uzbekistan has been abolished. This was reflected in the government's Resolution No. 597.
Now, a vehicle's compliance with environmental requirements will be assessed based on the general technical regulations. Furthermore, any vehicle must meet environmental standards of at least the "Euro-4" level.
Applicants will be required to submit documents confirming environmental compliance, for example: an official letter from the manufacturer or technical documentation.
Vehicles with electric engines (fully electric) are exempt from environmental assessment. However, this privilege does not apply to hybrid cars.
We remind you that the implementation deadline for the "Ecological Transport" system was postponed to January 1, 2026.
