According to the president, in recent weeks, Ukrainian forces have liberated 160 square kilometers of territory and seven villages. He stated that in the Pokrovsk direction alone, nearly 1,300 Russian soldiers were killed. Zelenskyy visited the Donetsk region and was at a command post of the airborne and assault forces.

It was not disclosed which villages were liberated. However, Ukrainian sources indicated that this operation might be related to eliminating a bulge in the Russian front line near Dobropillia.

Previously, there were reports of a Russian offensive in this area, but it was later stated that the Ukrainian army launched a counteroffensive and reclaimed a number of territories.
