Cases of illegal use of electricity were exposed in several districts of the Samarkand region. During the inspections preceding the investigation conducted by the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office, damages amounting to hundreds of millions of soms were identified.
In particular, in the Toyloq district, the head of the "K.A." farm, A.K., arbitrarily connected water pumps to the power grid and illegally used electricity worth 267 million soms.
In the Jomboy district, it was found that the head of the "S.G." LLC, S.Sh., similarly operated electricity without permission in a retail store, amounting to 134.1 million soms.
In the Urgut district, citizen L.T. and others also illegally connected a water pump and stole electricity worth 127.4 million soms.
Criminal cases have been initiated regarding these cases under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions have begun.
