Two schoolchildren drowned after falling into the Northern Fergana Canal in the Mirishkor neighborhood of Namangan region. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.
It was noted that search operations are currently underway for a minor born in 2009 – a boy who has not yet reached adulthood. According to reports, one of the drowned children was found on July 25.
“Currently, search operations in the water are being conducted by firefighters from the emergency departments of Namangan, Chust, and Pop districts, as well as by divers from the fire rescue squad of the management,” — the report states.
