French President Emmanuel Macron became the unexpected star of an "impromptu musical evening" during his visit to Armenia. He performed a famous song in duet with Nikol Pashinyan on the same stage, causing a huge stir on social media.
Last night, on May 4, during a state banquet in Yerevan, the politicians performed La Bohème. The footage was released by the Franceinfo television channel.
The video footage shows Macron sitting by the piano with a microphone, while Armenian musician Vahagn Hayrapetyan plays the instrument. At the same time, Pashinyan accompanies on the drums, completing the "trio on stage."
Participants of the event recorded this unusual performance on their phones and posted it on social media. Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan also watched the scene with a smile.
For reference, this laughter- and song-filled evening was held within the framework of the European Political Community summit. Over 50 state delegations are participating in the event.
