China's national air carrier — Air China has launched regular flights on the Beijing-Tashkent-Beijing route for the first time.
This was reported by the press service of Uzbekistan Airports.
On July 19, 2025, at 19:40, the airline's first flight landed at Tashkent International Airport. The crew and passengers arriving on the modern Boeing-737 aircraft were greeted with a traditional water arch and flowers in a ceremonial manner.
— "We are pleased to launch direct air services between the capitals of China and Uzbekistan. This route will play a key role in strengthening trade, tourism, and cultural ties between the two countries. Air China aims to be not just a bridge for passengers but also a connector of cities and opportunities," — said a representative of the airline.
The First Deputy Director of "Uzbekistan Airports Handling" Umid Khamrayev commented as follows:
— "We are delighted to welcome a major partner like Air China. We are confident that this route will be in high demand. All necessary conditions have been created for passengers."
Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
