Apple announced that it will appoint John Ternus as Chief Executive Officer starting September 1, 2026. Current leader Tim Cook will remain as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
According to company information, John Ternus has been working at Apple Inc. since 2001 and is currently Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering. It is emphasized that he has played a key role in increasing Mac computer sales in recent years.
Tim Cook, who has been leading the company since 2011, will continue to handle strategic issues and government relations in his new role.
During his tenure, products such as Apple Watch, AirPods, and Vision Pro, as well as services like iCloud and Apple Music, were launched.
