The tragic incident in the Midyat district of Mardin Province in Turkey has caused a major uproar on social networks. During a brawl and stabbing between two groups on Republic Boulevard, a 42-year-old prison guard named Faruk Akish lost his balance while fleeing and fell onto the road, where he was run over by a passing minibus. The event was captured by security cameras. The video recording clearly shows Faruk Akish suddenly falling and getting trapped under the wheels of the minibus. Following this, a medical emergency team and the police immediately arrived at the scene.
Akish received immediate medical attention at the scene and was taken to Midyat State Hospital. Despite all efforts by doctors, Akish succumbed to his severe injuries. After an autopsy, the deceased's body was buried.
According to local media reports, the brawl started for unknown reasons between a businessman and his employees. The police are thoroughly investigating the incident. The minibus driver has been detained, and the vehicle and its license plate are being identified.
