On social networks, there are reports that a citizen in the Bukhara region has been cruel to a Goitered gazelle listed in the Red Book of Uzbekistan.
In this regard, a working group consisting of employees from the Prosecutor's Office of the Bukhara region, Internal Affairs, and the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, was formed, and prompt investigations were carried out.
It was reported that on June 1 of this year, a citizen G.G., living in the “Young Force” neighborhood of Jondor district, accidentally caught a Goitered gazelle that had wandered into a field shack, stuffed tobacco products into its mouth, and later released it into the pasture.
Relevant documents have been formalized concerning this case, and currently, pre-investigation checks are being conducted by the internal affairs agencies.
The investigative actions are under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
Regarding the offender, a protocol has been formalized by the Regional Internal Affairs Bodies under Part 1 of Article 111 of the Administrative Responsibility Code for cruel treatment of animals.
