To mitigate the impact of energy tariff reforms on low-income families, a one-time financial aid and compensation payment of 313.6 billion UZS was made for the heating season of 2024-2025 was provided.
In November 2024, through the “Single Registry of Social Protection” information system by the National Agency for Social Protection, 1.1 million families were provided with 290 billion UZS - a one-time aid of 270 thousand UZS. This payment was made based on the social register of 950 thousand families and an additional list of up to 15 percent of neighborhood groups.
Also, for the heating season, compensation payments of 23.3 billion UZS were allocated to 207,962 families for the difference between the base rate and the exceeding rates of natural gas and electric power consumption (December 2024-April 2025).
The regions with the highest share of compensation and financial aid allocations are:
In Fergana province, 40.6 billion UZS;
In Kashkadarya province, 37.3 billion UZS;
In Namangan province, 35.2 billion UZS of aids were allocated.
This assistance helps to reduce families' expenses on electric and natural gas resources and minimize financial problems.
