Reports have spread on social networks about a video showing worms coming out of sausages, branded as “Sağbon”, that were bought and cooked by citizens, causing numerous discussions. The Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee of Tashkent city has provided information on this issue.

It has been noted that in order to clarify the situation, the Olmazor district branch of the committee has conducted an intensified inspection of the “Sağbon” sausage and sausage products manufacturing plant in agreement with the Business Ombudsman.

During the inspection, it was found that the enterprise operates in compliance with sanitary rules and standards during the storage and processing of meat and meat products, the meat products brought for the preparation of sausages undergo inspection, and the ready products are stored in warehouses equipped with a full cooling system.

Furthermore, due to some equipment not being tagged according to its usage, the absence of medical examination booklets for 7 employees, and the lack of a reserve of workwear for the workers, an administrative protocol was issued against the head of the enterprise.

“It should be noted that due to the observance of the rules of preparing and storing products at the enterprise, there are no factors negatively affecting the quality of the products. Therefore, we inform that the condition shown in the video could have been caused by the improper storage conditions of sausage products in the stores, leading to deterioration in their quality,” the report states.
