Recently, there have been reports of counterfeit 50-dollar bills, and sometimes 100-dollar bills, circulating in Turkey. In this regard, the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul is urging citizens to be vigilant in the following matters:

Be careful when buying and accepting!

   - Accept dollars only at official banks or licensed currency exchange points.

   - Use verification devices, especially when accepting large amounts of dollars.

   - Avoid cash exchange hand to hand.

Legal and legal advice

   - If counterfeit bills are accepted or distributed intentionally, severe punishment is stipulated under Turkish law.

   - If you encounter suspicious bills, contact the local police or consulate immediately.

Be cautious in situations related to the spread of counterfeit money and always refer to verification in suspicious situations.
