The new structure of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan has been approved. This was outlined in the decree signed by Shavkat Mirziyoyev titled "Measures to increase efficiency, proactiveness, and effectiveness in the state governance system." This was reported by the President's press secretary Sherzod Asadov.
According to the decree, 284 staff positions were reduced in the administration and its affiliated organizations, and redundant positions were optimized.
Based on the decree, five key priorities have now been established for the activities of the Presidential Administration. These are education, business, the judicial and legal system, healthcare, and water resource management. To effectively implement reforms in these areas, the position of five deputies to the Head of the Presidential Administration has been introduced.
Additionally, new advisory positions for strategic development and foreign policy have been introduced under the president. Departments for financial technologies, digitalization and artificial intelligence, creative economy and tourism development, public safety and rule of law, event organization, meetings, and analytical content preparation for regional visits, as well as communication departments, have been established.
