According to the ruling of the Constitutional Court of Kyrgyzstan, the next presidential election in the country will be held on January 24, 2027. The official election date is expected to be set by September 2026.

As stated in the court's announcement, the election falls on the fourth Sunday of January. The Jogorku Kenesh, however, must set this election date at least 4 months in advance, in accordance with the law.

It is reported that the term of the president elected in 2021 is calculated as 6 years based on the 2010 Constitution and it will be served in full. The 5-year term in the new Constitution does not apply to the incumbent president.

Also, according to the Constitution, this term is considered as the "first presidential term" and is not recalculated.
