Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leader of the USA, Donald Trump, had another telephone conversation. This was announced by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian President.
The conversation, which lasted about an hour, was conducted in a “businesslike and precise” manner. According to Ushakov, Trump again emphasized the necessity of quickly halting military activities in Ukraine.
Putin, meanwhile, stated that Russia is “seeking to resolve the conflict diplomatically,” but remains firm in its “intention to achieve the set goals.”
During the conversation, the situation in the Middle East was also discussed. Interestingly, Putin suggested to Trump the exchange of film products that are “consistent with traditional values” between Russia and the USA.
The Russian president also congratulated Trump on the upcoming American Independence Day and emphasized that “Russia played an important role in shaping American statehood.”
There has been no official statement from the American side regarding this conversation yet.
