Tomorrow, July 4th, in honor of the Independence Day of the USA, numerous cities across the country are planning to hold mass protests against President Donald Trump's policies. This was reported by The Economic Times here.
According to the publication, these rallies, under the name “Freedom for America”, coincide with the country's Independence Day. It is noted that these movements are seen as a resurgence of the previous wave of protests against the backdrop of growing discontent with the Trump administration.
The initiator of the action is identified as the "Women's March" organization. They have posted information about the planned protest events on their website. The organizers are calling for rallies, marches, hanging banners, performing protest dances, and holding local celebrations.
So far, nearly 200 events have been planned nationwide, which shows a relatively low interest compared to the recent “No to Kings” protests.
“On July 4th, with famous songs of freedom and jubilation, we will take to the streets. The dream of liberty in America belongs to all of us, and we will not stop in ensuring its realization – not now, not ever,” says the organization's website.
The "Women's March" has also stated that these actions are aimed at “liberating the US from the rule of billionaires, poverty, illegal decrees, and politics of fear.” Meanwhile, “Axios” has requested comments from the White House regarding the planned demonstrations.
“President Trump received nearly 80 million votes and obtained a historic mandate to make America great again – and he is doing this on a grand scale,” said White House spokesperson Liz Houston in her statement.
