Lebanon's Ministry of Health has reported that at least seven people, including one child, were killed as a result of Israel's attack on southern Lebanon.

Most of Israel's airstrikes have been directed at southern Lebanon, with the military stating it is targeting infrastructure and individuals linked to the Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group and political party.

On Saturday, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported Israeli strikes on the south, including on Saksakiyeh. The Ministry of Health said the raid "initially killed seven people, including a girl, and wounded 15 people, including three children."

According to Lebanese media, another strike in the city of Nabatieh killed a Syrian citizen and left his 12-year-old daughter seriously injured. The Ministry stated that the drone had launched multiple attacks.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah attacked northern Israel with drones. Israeli military reported that three soldiers were wounded.

According to Lebanese reports, more than 120 people have been killed across the country as a result of Israeli strikes in the past week.

Reuters reports that emergency service personnel are inspecting the site of an Israeli strike in Saksakiyeh, Lebanon, on May 9, 2026.
