Based on the situation, the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code.

On April 25 of this year, at around 17:40, a traffic accident occurred in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent city.

A driver born in 1988, while driving a Chevrolet Cobalt, struck a pedestrian born in 1948 crossing the road at an undesignated section opposite house No. 7 on KXAY Street.

As a result of the traffic accident, the pedestrian died at the scene due to the bodily injuries sustained.

Regarding the incident, the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are ongoing.

Officials urged road users to strictly comply with the rules and expressed condolences to the relatives of the deceased.
