A case of illegal sand and gravel extraction was exposed in the G'uzor district of the Kashkadarya region. This was reported by the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change.

It is reported that during a night raid, it was established that excavation work was being carried out in the area of the Kashkadarya River, despite a moratorium being in effect.

The offender had been illegally extracting and selling a sand-gravel mixture under the pretext of creating a fish pond.

As a result, it became known that damage to nature exceeded 248 billion soums.

Currently, relevant documents regarding the situation are being formalized and sent to law enforcement agencies for taking legal measures.
